Parties Galore

(Get ready for picture overload)

September always brings a whirlwind of party festivities. With both Maddie and Noah's birthday just days apart we opted to celebrate Maddie's with a birthday breakfast on the actual day and then a joint party with the family on Noah's day. I can't believe Miss Maddie is eleven, wow! She is just the most amazing little thing and we are so blessed to have her!

Once again she made it easy for us. American girl all the way :)

Yes I did make 2 cakes and no they weren't anything special, but the kiddos were happy. I had the best idea to make Noah a turtle cake and the first thing out of his mouth was "Ninja Turtle". Are those even around anymore???
Who knows but he was happy, so therefore, the rest of us were happy.

This easy going two year old is now three and definitely challenging us on every level. Amazing what a few months can to do to toddler. He is so fun and loves everything "Daddy". Can't believe my baby is getting so big...

Noah is really into cars, swords, and make believe. He was riding high with all of his birthday loot.

As this year was a "party year" Maddie wanted to make it special with a Hollywood party. We had a red carpet, popcorn cupcakes, popcorn machine, and a movie. The girls had a lot of fun and I must say was one of the easiest parties I have ever done. Which was good cause I was alone. Devin stayed up in Enterprise to prep for the SG marathon that was the next day.

And with that, friend parties are done till 2013. Here's to looking forward to family parties for the next year, yay!!!

I'm linking up again with Lindsey for week 3 of WIWW (what I wore wednesday). I was crazy busy this week and to be totally honest I missed 2 days and ran out of time to take my picture for the other one, lol. Most of these were taken by people who just happened to be in the vicinity. Love helpers!!!

Day 1: Errands

tank: old navy
cardi: hollister
skinnys: old navy
boots: old navy
bracelet: gap

Had to get a close up of my bracelet. This is by far my most favorite piece at the moment. So much fun, but doesn't pair to well with crocheting. Kept getting my yarn caught, lol.

Day 2: Photography sessions for work and my bff

Knew I needed a pic so as soon as the session was over I asked my bff if she could hurry and snap one of me. Not to bad without a mirror :)

tank: shade
shirt: american eagle
jeans: seven
shoes: soda

Day 5: Church

shirt: banana republic
skirt: banana republic
belt: target
bracelet: h&m
shoes: mudd
bobby pin: me - treasuredbyholly

I am so excited about these little babies! Just started making them this last weekend so they're not up in my shop yet, but very soon. They are literally going to save me from all of my bad bang days, yay.

Day 6: working from home

Outside enjoying the beautiful fall afternoon I had miss Maddie take the pic. After about 20 she figured it out. Think its about time for some photog lessons. Then she can help me out before the day is over and kid stains cover my shirt :)

tank: old navy
shirt: gap
shorts: american eagle
sandals: paprika

Now that's its been 3 weeks does that mean a habit is in place???

For years I was struggling with getting my children to practice their vocabulary list. You would think with that being the only Homework they ever bring home it wouldn't be so bad. They attend a Montessori school that goes through 6th grade and the best part is they finish everything at school, the bad part...I'm a little afraid for when they enter main stream and actually have homework, lol.

Needless to say I have had to get creative with their vocab lists. Luckily Cheese Its crackers bailed me out.

Their Scrabble Crackers have literally taken vocab time from boring to fun plus it includes snack time...PERFECT!! They have to spell out each word on their list and when they are finished they practice a couple more times (I re-arrange them) then they get to eat it. So much fun and so far has not become old...thank goodness!!

Monday Discoveries

A day late I know :)

Great Finds To Start Your Week
Monday, Monday it’s almost time, don't be late!

The dash is on to decorate!
Among other things.
Sorry but my rhyming skills are only good for two lines, lol
If Mondays are not usually your favorite day,
I thought I'd make them a little brighter.
Each Monday I post a great new find.
With the help of Etsy and my new addiction Pinterest, of course.

This Monday it’s....

Now as purchased you would be spending a lot of money, but I plan to make one much cheaper. Cut out an 24" square peice of wood. Head to any craft store and purchase mini wooden letters. Measure placement, glue on to board, paint and done ;)

I'm making them for each of my kids rooms with a cute quote. I can't wait for my busy season to be over to get started!!!

This last weekend we were given the privilege of babysitting these precious little ones...

We all had so much fun playing with them. So, of course, there was no keeping them pent up in the bathroom. I was constantly finding them with the kiddos in various rooms of the house.

My bedroom being the main area. Well with six little puppies comes a lot of little puddles. I was constantly trying to keep up with there accidents. I hit the net for some quick tips and came across this cute little printable over at Tip Junkie...

Now there wasn't a tip for pet urine, but I still fell in love. And what a cute idea to frame it and hang it in the laundry room...so smart!!
